Event: EQ Explosion/Fire

The recent explosion and subsequent fire at the Romulus EQ Recovery facility
created a large concern for home owners, businesses and others within a one
(1) mile evacuation area around the facility. The healthAIR Group assisted
local school districts in concerns related to this explosion and fire.
The EPA has been conducting monitoring and sampling activities since the
explosion. Up-to-date information, including some sample/monitoring

Event: Governor's Residence Renovations Celebrated
-
During the summer of 2004, The healthAIR Group was selected to conduct all
environmental consulting/remediation activities involved with the extensive
renovations at the Michigan Governor's Residence. On April 18, 2005,
Scott and Lexy Staber attended a garden reception to celebrate and view the
completed gardens and home renovations. The healthAIR Group assisted in
this renovation accomplishment by providing donated time and services.
The healthAIR Group would like to extend thanks to Governor Granholm and the
First Gentleman for their trust in our environmental and health & safety
services. We are proud to have made the official State of
Michigan's Governor's residence a safer place to live. To see photos

Story: Mold Not A Concern at Dublin Elementary

August, 2004 local newspaper article (Spinal Column by Bob James) detailing
asbestos and mold activities conducted at Dublin Elementary School following
flooding of several classrooms. All sampling activities were conducted
by The healthAIR Group following flooding and following necessary asbestos
abatement activities.

Story: Vermiculite Tainted Homes

December, 2003 report providing information about possible asbestos
contamination in vermiculite used in many home throughout metropolitan
Detroit. The story describes how vermiculite used as insulation in
approximately 250,000 area homes may have come from as asbestos-contaminated
vermiculite mine in Libby, Montana. The report further describes how
sampling and analysis of this vermiculite is necessary in order to determine
if you have asbestos-contaminated vermiculite. The healthAIR Group is
