Medical Waste Programs
Welcome to The healthAIR Group's "BIOSCHOOL" and "BIOFFICE" programs.
Below is a detailed outline of our medical waste programs, designed to
keep all medical facilities, offices, schools, colleges and other entities
in compliance with Bloodborne Pathogen standards.

are designed to guide you and and provide necessary services to comply with
biohazard and medical waste disposal regualtions. Please contact us for an

STEP 1 - REGISTER
The healthAIR Group will register your school district or medical
office/facility with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) as
a medical waste producer as required by part 138 of Michigan Public Act 368 --
the Medical Waste Regulatory Act. This certification is good for a period
of three years. View information about the

STEP 2 - PLAN
The healthAIR Group will develop an "Exposure Control Plan" for
you school district or medical office/facility as required by Michigan Public
Act 368 and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA)
Bloodborne Pathogen Standard. Each Facility must have the exposure control
plan for reference. |

STEP 3 - SET-UP
The healthAIR Group will provide each facility with the
appropriate disposal supplies required for compliance. Each facility will
be provided necessary "sharps" containers and medical waste disposal recepticals
(required bags and appropriately labeled waste containers). |

STEP 4 - TRAINING
The healthAIR Group will provide OSHA required bloodborne pathogen
training on a yearly basis. This training will be presented by an Exposure
Control Specialist in an interactive setting allowing for necessary questions
and answers. All training will be held at your facility site at times
necessary for full participation. |

STEP 5 - MEDICAL WASTE DISPOSAL
The healthAIR Group will provide medical waste pick-up and
disposal services at your facilities. Disposal services include disposal
and replacement of "sharps" containers, replacement of waste bag (red bag) and
delivery of medical waste management products. |
